PTTI Vijaypur launches drug de-addiction rally for Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

VIJAYPUR, June 24, 2026: – The Police Technical Training Institute, Vijaypur, teamed up with JKSPYM and the District De-Addiction Centre Samba to launch a drug de-addiction and substance abuse prevention awareness programme at the institute. The initiative is a part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan across Jammu and Kashmir.

Ranjit Singh Sambyal, IPS, Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, formally inaugurated the event and emphasized the urgent need for collective efforts to combat the growing menace of drug abuse while educating the youth about its harmful effects.

He highlighted that awareness, education, and community participation serve as the most effective tools for building a drug-free society.To mark the occasion, the Principal flagged off an awareness rally from the institute premises.

Representatives from JKSPYM and DDAC Samba, along with officers, staff, and trainees of PTTI Vijaypur, joined the rally as it marched through prominent locations of Vijaypur town, including the Main Market, Government Higher Secondary School Vijaypur, Gurha Slathia, and Gurha Morh.

Participants displayed informative banners and distributed pamphlets with important messages on drug de-addiction and healthy living to sensitize the general public and encourage local youth to adopt a healthy, responsible lifestyle.

This initiative reflects the commitment of PTTI Vijaypur to supporting the vision of a drug-free, healthy, and progressive society through sustained community outreach.
