Delhi IGI Airport CISF unit receives ISO 9001 certification for aviation security
NEW DELHI, June 24, 2026 — The Central Industrial Security Force Aviation Security Group unit at Indira Gandhi International Airport has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification by DNV.
This international certification recognizes the unit for delivering high standards of security services across all terminals and operational zones at the airport. The certification is valid from April 14, 2026, until April 13, 2029, highlighting the ongoing focus on operational quality and continuous service improvement within aviation security.
The official certification was presented by IGI Airport Chief Security Officer Navdeep Singh Heera to DIG and Chief Airport Security Officer Babu Ram. Senior military and security officials including Comdt Ravish Kumar Singh, Comdt Harish Kumar Sahu, and Comdt Sugana Ram were present during the handover ceremony.
CISF officials noted that achieving this benchmark underscores the strategic management and standard operation procedures utilized daily to maintain safe, secure, and seamless flight operations at one of the busiest transport hubs in the country.
