SRINAGAR, June 20, 2026 :- After a thorough security review, authorities have decided to reopen the historic Naranag Temple in Ganderbal district for devotees and tourists, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Saturday.
Taking to social media platform X, Lieutenant Governor Sinha wrote that after a thorough security review, a decision has been taken to open the Naranag Temple at Ganderbal for devotees and tourists.
The ancient temple, located in the upper reaches of Ganderbal, had remained closed due to security concerns. The reopening is expected to boost religious tourism in the area, and officials said necessary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety of visitors.
