India successfully tests advanced ballistic missile and naval anti ship defence systems Says Rajnath singh

NEW DELHI, June 13, 2026 :- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Posted on X that the Defence Research and Development Organisation has successfully demonstrated multiple crucial technologies designed to strengthen national defence capabilities against diverse enemy threats.

The milestone was achieved through three consecutive flight tests that validated a multi-layered defence system against long-range ballistic missiles alongside an advanced medium-range anti-ship capability.The successful demonstration of the multi-layered Ballistic Missile Defence system involved interceptors precisely engaging their respective targets.

Developed with the latest technologies to address emerging missile threats, these successful trials place India into an elite group of nations possessing the capability to engage ballistic missiles up to intercontinental ranges.

Additionally, the maiden flight test of the Naval Anti-Ship Missile-Medium Range successfully demonstrated enhanced medium-range maritime defence, prompting commendations for the research organization’s landmark achievement.
