Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena attends NITI Aayog meeting to highlight sustainable development initiatives
NEW DELHI, June 11 — Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena participated in the 11th Governing Council meeting of the NITI Aayog, which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today.
The high-level deliberations at the forum focused on gathering innovative ideas, shared experiences, and regional best practices to accelerate inclusive and sustainable development across the nation, aiming to achieve the long-term goal of a developed India.
During the session, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the scientific, innovative, and cost-effective practices currently being implemented in the Union Territory of Ladakh to foster sustainable development.
He emphasized regional efforts designed to ensure long-term water and agricultural security, generate stable local livelihoods, and strengthen environmental resilience.
The Lieutenant Governor stressed that these developmental advancements are being carefully executed to ensure the maximum protection of the fragile ecosystem in the Ladakh region.
