CBI coordinates extradition of wanted Haryana fugitive Vainket Garg from Georgia

NEW DELHI, June 11, 2026 :- The Central Bureau of Investigation, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Haryana Police, successfully secured the extradition of Red Notice subject Vainket Garg from Georgia to India.

The fugitive, a known gangster, was wanted by Haryana Police for multiple serious offenses including murder, attempt to murder, extortion, organized crime, and the use of illegal firearms.

Although previously arrested during an investigation, he absconded and fled the country to evade legal proceedings after being granted bail by the court.Following a request from Haryana Police, NCB-New Delhi had an Interpol Red Notice published against the accused.

After the subject was geo-located and arrested by Georgian authorities, a formal extradition request was submitted. Following the necessary legal processes, the Georgian authorities granted the extradition, allowing an escort team from Haryana Police to travel to Georgia and take custody of the accused.

The escort team and the fugitive arrived back in Delhi today, marking another successful recovery under BHARATPOL coordination, through which the Central Bureau of Investigation has brought back more than 160 wanted criminals to India in recent years.
