Indian Navy commissions seven new officers from Naval Architecture Course 36

NEW DELHI, June 9, 2026 — The Indian Navy marked a proud milestone with the successful commissioning of seven officers from the Naval Construction Wing during the passing out parade of Naval Architecture Course 36.

The parade was reviewed by Rear Admiral Deepak Singhal, Chief Staff Officer of Training, Southern Naval Command. During the ceremony, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Gold and Silver medals were awarded to Sub Lieutenant SC Aryan Raj and Sub Lieutenant Deepanshu for standing first and second in the overall order of merit, respectively.

The commissioning follows four years of rigorous naval training and demanding academics for the young officers. These newly minted naval constructors are now equipped and ready to contribute to the future of indigenous warship and submarine design.

Their deployment will strengthen the ongoing efforts of the nation toward self-reliance in defense production, aligning with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
