NHPC Director Projects Sanjay Kumar Singh reviews activities and historic power generation at Kishanganga Power Station

BANDIPORA, June 8, 2026 :- NHPC Director Projects Sanjay Kumar Singh visited the Kishanganga Power Station yesterday to review operational activities and inspect ongoing infrastructure works.

During the visit, the director interacted with officers and employees, expressing appreciation for their dedication and commitment to operating and maintaining the power station under challenging regional conditions.

The visit also included a detailed inspection of the dam and the dam-toe-power house located in Gurez to assess the progress of active projects.The director congratulated the Kishanganga Power Station team for achieving a historic milestone of 1,550.37 million units of annual power generation during the 2025-26 financial year.

This marks the highest-ever annual generation recorded by the facility since its official commissioning in 2018. The visit highlighted the facility’s critical role in regional energy production and the continued advancement of local hydropower capabilities.
