Srinagar Police attaches properties worth four crore rupees under NDPS Act
SRINAGAR, June 8, 2026 :- Srinagar Police has attached immovable properties worth approximately four crore rupees belonging to two drug peddlers under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
The action was taken as part of a sustained crackdown against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan. The attachments were executed to prevent the concealment, transfer, or disposal of properties derived from the illicit narcotics trade, highlighting the commitment of law enforcement to dismantle narcotics networks by targeting both traffickers and their illegally generated assets.
In the first action, Police Station Sangam attached a residential house, land, and commercial shops worth approximately three crore rupees belonging to Gulam Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar.
This measure was taken in connection with FIR number 14/2026 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act, after investigations established that the assets were acquired through the proceeds of narcotics trafficking.
