Rajouri-Poonch Highway Accident: 15 Injured After Canter Vehicle Flips Near Tandwal

RAJOURI, June 8: Fifteen passengers were injured on Monday after a passenger canter vehicle met with an accident near the Tandwal area on the Rajouri-Poonch National Highway.

According to official sources, the vehicle (bearing registration number JK11A-0171) was en route from Rajouri to Manjakote when the driver lost control of the wheels near Tandwal, leading to the crash.

Local residents and the Police rushed to the spot immediately after the incident to launch a rescue operation.

The injured passengers were promptly evacuated from the wreckage and shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) and Associated Hospital, Rajouri, for medical treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the victims are currently undergoing treatment, and an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
