Punjab Police arrest two shooters in Ferozepur murder case
FEROZEPUR, June 7, 2026 — In a joint operation, the Anti-Gangster Task Force of the Punjab Police, along with the Ferozepur Police and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, apprehended two shooters from Rajasthan who were involved in the murder of Gurcharan Singh Gaba in Makhu, Ferozepur.
The suspects were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir. Law enforcement officials recovered a Beretta .30 bore pistol and 10 live cartridges from their possession.
A preliminary investigation revealed that both suspects have an extensive criminal history, with prior involvement in extortion, robbery, dacoity, theft, and violations under the Arms Act. The individuals were also carrying a reward of 10,000 rupees placed on them by the Rajasthan Police.
A First Information Report has been registered at the Makhu police station, and further investigation is underway as the Punjab Police continue their efforts to dismantle organized crime networks.
