Security Forces Intensify Search Operations and Ensure Highway Safety in Manipur

IMPHAL, June 6, 2026 — Security forces are continuing extensive search operations and area domination exercises across vulnerable and fringe districts of Manipur to maintain law and order. The joint operations aim to secure volatile areas and prevent any disruptive activities by establishing a strong security presence in both hill and valley regions.

To maintain the steady supply of essential commodities, security forces successfully coordinated the movement of 571 vehicles carrying vital goods along National Highway 37.

Stringent security protocols have been deployed at all vulnerable locations, and dedicated security convoys are being provided along sensitive stretches of the highway to guarantee the unhindered and safe transit of transport vehicles.

As part of the intensified security measures, a total of 114 checkpoints and nakas have been set up across various districts in the state. These checkpoints are being actively monitored by security personnel in both the hill and valley areas to regulate movement, conduct vehicle checks, and deter potential security threats.
