Kargil Vijay Diwas motorcycle expedition flagged off from Shinku La

SHINKU LA, June 04, 2026:The Forever in Operations Division flagged off a commemorative motorcycle expedition from Shinku La toward the Kargil War Memorial in Drass as part of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations.

The journey commenced from the high-altitude pass of Shinku La, sending riders across a route designed to honor the historical military milestone. A group of 23 riders is participating in the challenging long-distance event, steering through demanding high-altitude terrains to pay tribute to fallen soldiers.The expedition route traverses several landmark locations, including the scenic landscapes of Gonbo Ranjan, Mune Monastery, Phuktal Monastery, and Shila Lake.

Organizers noted that the journey aims to showcase a spirit of adventure, endurance, and patriotism while highlighting the rich cultural heritage and rugged natural beauty of the Zanskar and Ladakh regions.

The riders are scheduled to conclude their journey at the Kargil War Memorial, where they will participate in a formal ceremony to pay homage to the brave warriors who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
