Ladakh Indus River Green Corridor mass plantation initiative shows positive results
LEH, MAY 31 — Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena announced that the mass plantation drive under the Indus River Green Corridor initiative is yielding encouraging results.
The project, which was launched on March 23 at Spituk Farka in Leh, has made visible progress as saplings planted along the banks of the sacred River Indus have begun sprouting leaves, symbolising growth and renewal.
This environmental initiative reflects a resolute commitment to shaping a greener future for Ladakh, fostering sustainability, and protecting the fragile ecology of the region.
