Schools to remain shut on Sept 2 in Jammu Division due to inclement weather:- DSEJ

Jammu 01 September :- The Directorate of School Education Jammu has ordered all government and private schools across Jammu Division to remain closed on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, due to severe weather conditions.

The directive, issued by Director Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, cites weather alerts and incessant rainfall causing landslides in hilly areas as the primary reason for the closure, which is intended to ensure the safety of students and staff. While the schools will be shut, the order has instructed that online classes be conducted wherever possible to minimize disruption to learning.
