Ladakh 23 August :-In a coordinated initiative to strengthen disaster preparedness, Indian Army, in collaboration with the civil administration, conducted mock drills in Nubra Valley on 21 & 22 Aug 2025, both during day and night.
Students and staff were trained in evacuation, rescue, first aid, and debris clearance, alongside civil agencies including UTDRF, Ladakh Police, BRO, GREF, Revenue Department, and local volunteers.
The exercises simulated disaster scenarios such as floods, earthquakes, and landslides, with emphasis on rapid response, evacuation protocols and coordinated relief measures, reaffirming the Indian Army’s proactive role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.
