Udhampur, 20th August :- In a major success against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police has arrested another accused in a commercial quantity NDPS case FIR No. 163/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of Police Station Chenani.
During the course of investigation, backward link was established on the basis of technical, financial and oral evidence against the accused Tanzeer S/o Mohd. Sayeed Majar R/o Sudhpora, Karnah, District Kupwara, who has now been arrested. He is the third accused arrested in this case.
The accused also has a criminal history and is involved in previous NDPS cases:FIR No. 94/2021 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Karnah, Kupwara,FIR No. 03/2025 U/S 8/21/29 NDPS Act of PS Parimpora.
With this arrest, Udhampur Police has once again reaffirmed its commitment towards dismantling drug networks by not only apprehending peddlers but also tracing their links to break the entire chain of narcotics trade.
