Rajouri LoC Alert: Indian Army Fires Upon Multiple Pakistani Drones Spotted in Dungala Sector

RAJOURI, JANUARY 13, 2026 — Security forces in the Rajouri district were placed on high alert Tuesday after multiple Pakistani drones were detected hovering near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Dungala-Nabla sector.

According to official sources, the Indian Army acted with precision upon spotting the aerial intrusion, immediately executing counter-Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) protocols.

Troops positioned at forward posts reportedly opened fire to neutralize the threat and push back the drones, which were seen plying along the sensitive border area.

The swift response by the Indian Army highlights the heightened state of vigilance maintained along the frontier to prevent “dropping” activities or cross-border surveillance by hostile elements.

Following the detection, a massive search operation was launched in the rugged terrain of the Dungala and Nabla sectors to ensure that no payloads were dropped by the intruding quadcopters. Military sources confirmed that the situation is being monitored closely using high-tech surveillance equipment to prevent any further breaches of Indian airspace.
