Ladakh Police Launches Revamped Official Website to Boost Digital Transparency and Citizen Services
LEH, LADAKH 22 December – In a major step toward modernizing law enforcement, the Ladakh Police officially inaugurated its revamped official website today at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Agling. The launch, led by Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, UT Ladakh, marks a critical shift toward a more citizen-centric and techno-oriented policing model.
The ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including AIG CIV Rajneesh Garg, AIG (Provision) Sonam Deachen, and SP UTDRF Govind Ratan, among others.
The newly designed platform is engineered as a comprehensive digital portal featuring a streamlined, mobile-responsive user interface to ensure seamless navigation for the public across all devices.
Central to this transformation is the integration of essential online citizen services, real-time notifications, and dedicated sections for official recruitment drives and regional safety advisories.
Furthermore, the portal serves as a unified information hub by integrating updates from specialized units like the Ladakh Traffic Police and the MeT center, providing residents with immediate access to critical assistance and institutional developments.
During the event, Farhan Naqash (SO to DGP) provided a technical briefing on the website’s architecture, highlighting the high-level security protocols implemented to protect user data. DGP Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal concluded the launch by reaffirming the department’s alignment with “Digital India” initiatives, stating that the revamped portal is a vital tool for fostering community trust and ensuring that essential police services are accessible to every resident at the click of a button.
