NAGROTA, February 14, 2026 – In a landmark development for Sainik School Nagrota, Lieutenant General P K Mishra, GOC White Knight Corps, formally institutionalized the Annual Academic Trophy during a high-profile visit today.
The newly established rolling trophy is designed to be awarded annually to the House securing the highest overall academic average, reinforcing the school’s philosophy that intellectual rigor is the bedrock of future military leadership. Upon his arrival, the General Officer was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the cadets, setting a disciplined tone for the historic proceedings.
In an inspiring address to the assembly, Lieutenant General Mishra emphasized that academic excellence is not merely about grades but is fundamental to building character, integrity, and moral courage. Making history as the very first recipients for the Academic Year 2025–26, Chenab House was crowned the inaugural winner of the trophy, while Jhelum House was recognized as the runner-up.
