Kathua 07 September :- Incessant rains severely damaged a critical portion of the road from Basohli to Bani, washing out a significant section and leaving a yawning gap at Tikri Morh, 47 km from Basohli.
Faced with this major disruption to connectivity, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) undertook the formidable challenge of creating an entirely new road formation to bypass the destroyed stretch. This herculean task was accomplished under treacherous weather conditions and in difficult terrain, with the team and their machinery operating under constant, calculated risk.
Their relentless efforts successfully restored the vital link, re-establishing connectivity from Basohli to Bhaderwah. Kudos to Sankar Tayal, Officer Commanding of 69 RCC, and his dedicated team for their exemplary work in accomplishing this difficult mission.
