Vital Jammu-Kashmir Highways remain closed; travel advisory issued amid ongoing restoration

JAMMU, 04 September: At 0900 hours this morning, the critical surface links connecting the Jammu region to the Kashmir Valley remain shut for traffic due to adverse conditions and necessary restoration work. The authorities have confirmed that the strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), the Mughal Road, and the Sinthan-Kishtwar Road are all closed to vehicular movement.Intensive restoration efforts are currently underway by concerned agencies to clear the roads and make them safe for travel. The nature of the work typically involves clearing landslides, debris that led to the closure.
