Kishtwar 20th August :- In a powerful tribute on social media, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, praised the extraordinary courage and immediate response of the “Chasoti Bikers” in the wake of a devastating cloudburst in Chishoti enroute to Mata Machhail shrine in Kishtwar.
Dr. Singh post on X in which he stated that No words enough to acknowledge their selfless service at the risk of their lives!No rewards enough to honour their brave presence of mind!“Chasoti Bikers”, a group of youth engaged in ferrying pilgrims from Chasoti to the Mata Machhail shrine point on bike, were the first to turn to be the immediate rescuers after the sudden cloud burst, which had taken everybody by surprise.
Even before the administration, government rescue teams or local people could come forward for assistance, these youngsters, who were already there on the spot, put their lives at risk and started pulling out the victims stuck in mud and debris.Their courageous feat will, for long, be cited as a unique inspiration for the youth in particular and for the society in general.
