Union Home Minister Amit Shah Pays Tribute to CISF Martyrs; Vows Maoist-Free India by end of March 2026

CUTTACK, March 6, 2026 – Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Mundali complex in Odisha today to honor the nation’s bravehearts.

During a solemn ceremony at the Braveheart Memorial at KRTC Mundali, the Minister laid a wreath in memory of the CISF personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Addressing the CISF Raising Day celebrations in Cuttack, Home Minister Amit Shah made a landmark declaration, asserting that India is on track to become entirely Maoist-free by March 31, 2026.

He credited this impending success to the government’s sustained and multi-pronged strategy to eliminate extremist influence while simultaneously bringing development to long-neglected remote regions.

Praising the resilience of security forces, Shah emphasized that a combination of coordinated tactical operations, enhanced intelligence sharing, and targeted welfare initiatives has systematically dismantled Maoist networks over recent years.
