New Delhi, 13 August :- Union Home Minister Amit Shah today hoisted the Indian national flag at his official residence under the current ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tricolour at Every Home) initiative.
Shah pointed out that the initiative, started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now become a huge people’s movement, promoting national integration and instilling a stronger sense of patriotism among the citizens.Shah said that the campaign embodies the collective determination of 140 crore Indians to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by thousands of freedom fighters who envisioned a free and prosperous India. “The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign represents the unshakeable commitment of each Indian to live by the spirit of sacrifice, commitment, and solidarity that our freedom fighters inspired,” he added.
The Home Minister also stressed that the movement not only ignites nationalist pride but is also a reminder of the duty to contribute to making a more developed and robust India. The Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which aims to get the citizens of the nation to hoist the Tricolour at their homes between August 13 and 15, has seen huge response across the nation, becoming a grand celebration of India’s 79th Independence Day. Shah’s gesture today marks the government’s attempt to encourage patriotism and brotherhood among all citizens.
