Udhampur Police Attaches Property Worth ₹1.10 Crore Belonging to Drug Peddler

Udhampur 30 October :- In a major blow to drug syndicate, Udhampur Police has attached immovable and movable property worth approximately ₹1.10 Crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler namely, Sheikh Imran S/O Sheikh Mohammad Younas R/O Ward No. 1, TCP Domail, Udhampur, under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.

During the course of investigation in Case FIR No. 230/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Udhampur, it came to light that the accused Sheikh Imran had acquired substantial assets from the proceeds of narco trade.The attached properties include:

Two residential houses constructed on land Khasra No. 180/162, One Scooty bearing registration No. JK14G-8025The Investigating Officer of the case, having reasons to believe that the said property was acquired from illicit proceeds of narcotics trafficking, attached the same under due provisions of law.

It is pertinent to mention that Udhampur Police has attached property worth ₹8.30 Crore related to NDPS cases during the current year, reaffirming its firm commitment to make Udhampur a Drugs-Free District.
