Udhampur – February 3, 2026 :- A fierce gunbattle erupted today in the Johpar -Marta sector after a joint team of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF tracked down a group of terrorists.
Acting on specific intelligence, troops from CIF Delta established contact with the insurgents around 4:00 PM, triggering an immediate firefight.
The area has been heavily cordoned off by security forces to ensure the targets are pinned down, as the challenging terrain remains a focal point of the engagement.
The tactical operation, designated Operation Kiya, underscores the ongoing synergy between the Army and local law enforcement in neutralizing regional threats.
