Udhampur December 31, 2025:- In a major success for digital financial security, the Cyber Police Station Udhampur has successfully recovered and refunded a total of ₹11,41,510 to 21 victims of various cyber frauds during the month of December 2025.
This significant recovery was made possible through high-level technical interventions and seamless coordination with various banking institutions. By acting swiftly on complaints received throughout the month, the specialized cyber team managed to intercept fraudulent transactions and ensure the stolen capital was credited back to the rightful accounts of the complainants.
The District Police Udhampur emphasized that the success of these recoveries was largely due to the “Golden Hour” reporting by victims, which allowed investigators to freeze illicit transfers before the funds could be withdrawn by scammers.
Highlighting their commitment to the People First initiative, officials urged the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious digital activity immediately. Citizens are encouraged to use the national helpline 1930 or the official cybercrime portal to report frauds, as immediate reporting remains the most effective tool in the recovery of defrauded money.
