Udhampur: All India Dogra Foundation Society Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Tributes to Martyrs

Udhampur | January 26, 2026 — To commemorate the 77th Republic Day, the All India Dogra Foundation Society (NGO) organized a grand flag-hoisting ceremony at its headquarters in Bharat Nagar, Udhampur.

The event was marked by a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the nation’s security forces, as the organization honored the sacrifices made by local heroes in the line of duty.

The ceremony featured the wife of Late Shaheed Naik Balbir Singh Jamwal as the chief guest, who took the salute during the unfurling of the national tricolour. Naik Balbir Singh Jamwal, a brave Para Troop Commander, laid down his life while serving the nation during a counter-insurgency operation in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir.

Following the flag-hoisting, the members and local residents celebrated the occasion by distributing halwa and sharing greetings, fostering a spirit of community and national pride.

The event was attended by prominent members of the NGO, including Chairman Rakesh Khajuria, Vice President Kuldeep Singh, and Executive Members Joginder Singh, Yashpal Singh, Pankaj Singh, and Munish Bhardwaj.

A large number of local residents, including women and other dignitaries, were also present to pay their respects and celebrate the democratic milestone of the country.
