Two Terrorists Neutralized in Kishtwar Joint Operation ‘Trashi-I’

KISHTWAR, February 22, 2026 — Security forces achieved a significant breakthrough today in the Kishtwar region as two terrorists were eliminated during a high-stakes encounter under Operation Trashi-I.

The operation, driven by precise intelligence from the Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and military sources, targeted a group of active militants operating in the area’s difficult and rugged terrain.

The offensive was a joint effort involving the CIF Delta of the White Knight Corps, the Jammu & Kashmir Police, and the CRPF. Following an initial contact established earlier, the security teams re-engaged the insurgents at approximately 11:00 AM today.

Despite the challenging geographical conditions, the troops displayed exceptional tactical precision and seamless coordination, eventually neutralizing both targets.

Following the gunfight, security forces conducted a search of the encounter site and recovered a significant cache of war-like stores, including two AK-47 rifles.

This successful neutralization marks a major win for the “Zero Tolerance” policy against terrorism in the region, further disrupting the operational capabilities of local militant outfits.
