Trishakti Corps Commander Reviews Operational Readiness in North Sikkim’s Super High Altitude Areas
GANGTOK, Feb 17, 2026 – Strengthening India’s defensive posture along the frontier, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Trishakti Corps conducted a comprehensive security review in the rugged, super high-altitude regions of North Sikkim.
During his visit to the forward operational formations, the GOC assessed the tactical preparedness and logistical endurance of troops stationed in some of the world’s most inhospitable terrains.
The high-level visit underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining a robust vigil and ensuring rapid response capabilities despite the extreme climatic challenges and thinning oxygen levels characteristic of the Himalayan borders.
While interacting with the soldiers deployed at these strategic heights, the GOC commended their unwavering morale and professional grit. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, urging the “Trishakti Warriors” to remain vigilant and mission-ready at all times.
The review focused on modernizing surveillance, winter stocking, and enhancing the combat readiness of the formation to counter any emerging security threats.
By fostering direct communication with the boots on the ground, the leadership aimed to reinforce the military’s resolve to safeguard territorial integrity in the challenging North Sikkim sector.
