Srinagar 11 August :- A tragic incident during the intervening night of August 10-11, 2025, a Kia vehicle bearing registration number JK21H-1919 met with a severe accident at Tengen Bypass under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowgam in Srinagar .
The crash resulted in critical injuries to three Sub-Inspectors of the Jammu & Kashmir Police, who were on official duty as part of the SANJY-2025 security deployment. The injured officers were identified as Sub-Inspector Sachin Verma of 23 Battalion IRP, presently posted at Pantha Chowk, Sub-Inspector Shubam Sait of 21 Battalion IRP, posted at Awantipora, and Sub-Inspector Mastan Singh also from 23 Battalion IRP, stationed at Railway Station Awantipora.
All three were immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for emergency treatment. However, in a devastating turn of events, Sachin Verma and Shubam Sait were declared brought dead upon arrival, succumbing to their injuries. Mastan Singh remains under medical care with his condition reported as serious. Police Registered the case and further investigation going on.
