Traffic Update : Jammu-Srinagar Highway Open for One-Way Traffic
Jammu 16 September :- Traffic on the National Highway (NH-44) is moving from Jammu towards Srinagar. In a crucial advisory for commuters, no Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) will be permitted to cross the Nagrota checkpoint after 1100 hrs today.
Furthermore, no vehicle movement will be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu on the highway, as per the scheduled traffic plan. Alternate routes, including the Mughal Road, SSG Road, and Sinthan Top, remain open for travel in accordance with their respective advisories.
Authorities have strongly advised commuters to strictly adhere to these guidelines, refrain from traveling against the advisory, maintain lane discipline, and avoid reckless overtaking to prevent unnecessary congestion.
The public is urged to ignore rumors and instead check the official road status through the Traffic Police’s Twitter handle @Traffic_hqrs, their Facebook page, or by contacting the Traffic Control Units in Jammu, Srinagar, or Ramban.
