Doda, 23 August :- Police Post Pul Doda received information regarding an incident involving a young woman, Rabia Begum (21 years), wife of Mohd Danish, resident of Thalsara Bhalla, District Doda, who attempted to end her life near the Pul Doda area.
The SDRF Water Rescue Team, and officials of police post Doda which were already on alert duty at the site, acted swiftly and managed to rescue the woman before any untoward incident could occur. Their timely and effective intervention saved a precious life.
The woman was immediately brought to Police Post Pul Doda, where she was counseled and sensitively briefed. She was later safely handed over to her family members.
