JAMMU, February 01, 2026 — In a significant move to bolster civil-military relations and provide essential services to remote areas, the Tiger Division successfully organized a comprehensive Medical and Veterinary Camp at Bhure Chak Stadium today.
Conducted in collaboration with the Borderless Foundation NGO and the local civil administration, the initiative targeted the border villages of Makwal, Sohanjana, Mandal, and Marh. The camp adopted a holistic approach to community welfare, offering free medical consultations, diagnostic check-ups, and specialized veterinary care for livestock under a single roof, ensuring that both the residents and their primary livelihoods were supported.
The event saw a massive turnout of over 1,000 beneficiaries, including women, children, and livestock owners. Distinguished guests, including MLA Surinder Bhagat and Brigadier Kumar Anand, Commander of the Chenab Brigade, interacted with the medical teams and local residents, praising the seamless fusion of efforts between the Indian Army and civil organizations.
Veterinary officers provided critical treatments and preventive advice for local cattle, while medical professionals distributed free medicines and conducted health awareness sessions.
This large-scale outreach not only addressed immediate healthcare gaps in the sensitive border region but also reinforced the enduring bond of trust and resilience between the defense forces and the civilian population.
