Samba 23 August :- A significant road accident occurred on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Samba on Tuesday morning.
According to available information, around 9:30 AM, three trucks collided with each other near Bhargava College. The trucks involved have been identified with registration numbers PB65V 7776, JK08L 7588, and RJ07GC 2891. The impact of the crash resulted in injuries to all three drivers, who were promptly rushed to the District Hospital Samba for immediate medical treatment, where they are currently undergoing care.
The collision caused a complete disruption of traffic on the highway towards Jammu for some time. Upon receiving the alert, teams from the Samba Police and Traffic Police arrived at the scene, managed the situation, and diverted vehicular movement via the SIDCO Phase-I Link Road to ease the congestion.
The police have registered a case and have initiated a further investigation into the cause of the accident.
