Jammu 20 September :- In a significant administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has suspended three officers and issued immediate transfer and appointment orders. The action was taken pursuant to an order from the Zone Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) in Jammu.
According to Order No. 781 issued by the District Police Headquarters in Jammu Inspector Deepak Pathaina and Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) Wasim Bhatti and Rohit Sharma have been placed under suspension. The suspended officers, previously posted at Police Station Channi and Post Sainik Colony, have been attached with the Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Jammu for the duration of their suspension. They have been directed to report to the RPHQ Jammu at 10:00 AM sharp on September 20, 2025.
Concurrently, to ensure the seamless functioning of the affected police units, the department has appointed two officers to take interim charge. Sub-Inspector Noor Hussain has been assigned as the Incharge of Police Station Channi, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Devinder Kumar will take over as the Incharge of Post Sainik Colony. These appointments are effective immediately and will remain in place until further orders are issued.
