Udhampur 03 December :- Police team of Police Post Tikri while conducting naka checking intercepted one Car bearing registration number JK01AX-1491 coming from Jammu towards Srinagar for checking purpose.
During checking, three persons were found sitting in the vehicle who on questioning disclosed their identities as:Ishfaq Majid Dhar S/O Mohd. Abdullah Dar R/O Shivpora, Srinagar,Umar Shafiq S/O Mohd. Shafi R/O Chanpora, Srinagar,Moshin Aslam Khan S/O Mohd. Aslam Khan R/O Sheikhpora, Budgam.
During their personal search, 53.44 grams of Heroin were recovered from their possession. On being questioned about the recovered narcotic substance, all three failed to give any satisfactory reply regarding its possession.In this regard, Case FIR No. 204/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rehambal and investigation of the case has been taken up.
With these arrests, the total number of drug Peddlers arrested by Udhampur Police during the current year reaches 183 reaffirming its commitment towards a drug-free Udhampur.
