Udhampur 18 October :- A three-day course on “Increasing Menace of Narcotics among Youths-Challenges in Handling and Investigation of NDPS Cases” concluded today at the Sher-I-Kashmir Police
Academy Udhampur.
The valedictory function was graced by Benam Tosh JKPS, SSP, Dy. Director SKPA
Udhampur who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, Benam Tosh
highlighted the alarming rise in drug abuse among youth and emphasized the need for a
comprehensive and coordinated approach by law enforcement agencies and the community
to effectively tackle the narcotics problem.
A total of 21 participants from various wings of Jammu and Kashmir Police attended the
course. During the three-day training, eminent resource persons delivered lectures on the
legal provisions of the NDPS Act, investigation techniques, intelligence gathering, and
prosecution challenges in narcotics-related cases.
During the valediction ceremony, the Chief Guest distributed course certificates to all
participants and appreciated their active involvement throughout the training. He lauded
the efforts of SKPA Udhampur for organizing a course of such importance and urged
participants to apply the knowledge gained in their field assignments.
The course was coordinated by Chander Lekha, Sr.PO assisted by HC Mohd Nisar,
member faculty.
