Udhampur, October 6:On October 5, 2025, Police Station Majalta registered a case vide FIR No. 82/2025 under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 191(2), 307, 351(2), 352 BNS. Based on a complaint lodged by media person Tarun Gupta, S/o Ganesh Dutt, R/o Bhardai, Majalta.As per the complaint, a white Alto car with partial registration number JK08, occupied by 3–4 unknown persons intercepted the complainant in the Khoon area assaulted him & forcibly snatched his belongings.
Taking prompt action police team of PS Majalta traced and seized the vehicle bearing registration number JK08E-5121 within ten hours of the incident. Following sustained investigation, three accused persons involved in the crime were arrested.Manjit Singh, S/o Lok Raj, R/o Galak, Ramkot, Rohit Sharma, S/o Prem Chand, R/o Galak, Ramkot,Shiv Saroop @ Shivam Gupta, S/o Pawan Kumar, R/o Galak, Ramkot.
Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the motive behind the incident and identify any other individuals involved.
