“The Last Dose”: BJP Releases Banner of Anti-Drug Film to Combat Substance Abuse in Jammu
JAMMU, Jan 10 (2026): In a strong show of support for social awareness through cinema, the Jammu and Kashmir BJP today released the official banner for the film “The Last Dose” at the party’s Trikuta Nagar headquarters.
Led by J&K BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, alongside Vice-Presidents Rajiv Charak and Rekha Mahajan, the party leadership emphasized that drug abuse has become a grave threat to the social fabric and economic productivity of the region.
Dr. Mahotra highlighted that entertainment media serves as a powerful tool for shaping public opinion, noting that this film—led by Khwaish Gupta—aims to act as a catalyst for a broader social movement to save the youth of Jammu and Kashmir from the clutches of addiction.
During the event, senior leaders expressed deep concern over the alarming spread of narcotics in various sectors of Jammu city, which has already claimed numerous young lives. Rajiv Charak underscored the necessity of responsible media and the local film industry in awakening society, while Rekha Mahajan described the film as a “need-of-the-hour” intervention that speaks directly to the younger generation.
Produced by Shivdeep Gupta and directed by the Psycho Brothers, “The Last Dose” is set for an exclusive release on the Khwaish Gupta Production platform. The BJP Sanskriti, Art & Culture Cell reaffirmed its commitment to promoting local talent and meaningful art that reflects hard-hitting social realities, urging educational institutions and civil society to rally behind such initiatives to ensure a drug-free future.
