Suspicious Balloon with Handwritten Note Found Near International Border in Hiranagar

KATHUA January 28, 2026 :- Panic gripped the residents of Kanha village in Hiranagar today after a suspicious red balloon was discovered near the International Border in Kathua.

The balloon carried a handwritten slip featuring the messages “I love you” and “I miss you,” along with a mobile number (0322-4482838). Local villagers immediately alerted the authorities upon finding the object, leading to a prompt response from the police team.

Officers from the Hiranagar Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after the report, taking the balloon and the attached note into their custody for further examination.

Given the village’s proximity to the border, security agencies are treating the recovery with caution. While the messages appear personal in nature, the police have initiated a thorough verification process to investigate all possible angles, including the origin of the phone number and the balloon’s flight path.
