Suspected Pakistan-Origin Plane-Shaped Balloon Recovered in Samba’s Purmandal

SAMBA, March 23, 2026 – A wave of panic spread through the Purmandal area of Samba district following the recovery of a suspicious balloon shaped like an airplane.

According to local reports, the yellow and white colored balloon, which prominently featured the initials “SGA” printed on its surface, was spotted near the Tehsil office premises.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the balloon may have originated from across the border in Pakistan, given the markings and recent similar incidents in the region.

Upon receiving information about the sighting, concerned security officials and local administration rushed to the spot to assess the situation.

Taking no risks with public safety, the authorities have taken the object into their custody. A formal investigation has been launched to determine the exact origin of the balloon and whether it carries any surveillance equipment or was merely a stray object.
