SUNDERBANI, J&K | January 9, 2026 — Marking a significant milestone in the lead-up to National Veterans Day, the Sunderbani region witnessed a profound display of patriotism and national pride as the Dhruva Motorcycle Rally reached its fifth day of a purposeful journey across Jammu and Kashmir.
Accompanied by the Eternal Mashal—a sacred flame symbolizing the everlasting glory of India’s fallen heroes—the rally arrived from Reasi to a grand reception, setting the stage for a day dedicated to honoring the selfless service of the veteran community.
The commemorations began with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Sunderbani War Memorial, where serving personnel, civil dignitaries, and ex-servicemen gathered to pay emotional tributes to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Following the tributes, the rally was ceremoniously flagged off by Randhir Singh, MLA of Sunderbani, who joined local leaders and citizens in celebrating the enduring bond between the Armed Forces and the civilian population.
Traversing an approximate distance of 55 kilometers toward Naushera, the disciplined riders acted as ambassadors of unity and resilience, receiving widespread admiration from local residents along the route.
The event culminated in a successful “flag-in” at Naushera, reinforcing the collective commitment to national integration and ensuring that the timeless legacy of India’s soldiers continues to inspire future generations through the values of service before self.
