SSP Naresh Singh Chairs Comprehensive Crime and Security Review Meeting in Kishtwar to Bolster District Safety
KISHTWAR, February 21, 2026: SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh convened a high-level Crime and Security Review Meeting at the District Police Office to evaluate the prevailing law and order situation and enhance operational preparedness across the region.
During the session, officers from the Kishtwar, Chatroo, Atholi, and Marwah sub-divisions provided detailed briefings on local crime trends and security measures. Naresh Singh conducted a rigorous assessment of investigation standards, directing officials to reduce case pendency and ensure strict accountability through professional legal procedures.
The review placed a heavy emphasis on district-wide security grids, including intensified area domination, cordon-and-search operations (CASOs), and night patrolling in coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force.Strategic focus was also directed toward the “beat system,” with the SSP ordering regular patrolling and updated intelligence gathering at the grassroots level.
To combat illegal activities, Singh issued firm instructions to escalate drives against narcotics trafficking and bovine smuggling while maintaining heightened vigilance against militancy, particularly in the sensitive Chatroo and Marwah sectors.
The meeting, which aimed to strengthen community policing and surveillance through CCTV monitoring, was attended by key officials including Pardeep Singh Goria, Nisar Ahmed Khoja, Ishan Gupta, and Vijay Bhagat, along with various SHOs and investigating officers.
The session concluded with a mandate for all personnel to maintain a proactive field presence to ensure sustained peace and public order throughout Kishtwar.
