Udhampur 01 November :- An impression “Ekta Divas Parade ” was organized at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel .
Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, SSP Benam Tosh administered the pledge of unity , integrity and security of the nation to hundreds of police officers who participated in the grand function . Pledge- taking ceremony was followed by march past by different platoons of officers hailing from various areas of Jammu and Kashmir, currently undergoing basic training , pre- promotion courses at SKPA Udhampur and faculty members.
While interpreting the ingredients of the pledge , SSP Benam Tosh said that the pledge of unity integrity & security would go a long way in widening the horizon of thinking and infusing the spirit of oneness, solidarity , unity & patriotism regardless of caste, colour ,creed ,religion or region which is essentially required to strengthen national integration.
He enumerated to great many contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, especially historic and unique role during the process of unification of princely states after Indian Independence Act , 1947 .
