SSB Dog Squad Clinches Runner-Up Trophy and Seven Medals at 69th All India Police Duty Meet 2025-26

NAGPUR, April 04, 2026 — Marking a significant milestone for the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the force’s elite Dog Squad team delivered a stellar performance at the 69th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) 2025-26.

Held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, from March 28 to April 03, 2026, the prestigious national competition saw the SSB contingent secure the Overall Runner-Up Trophy, underscoring their exceptional training and operational capabilities.

The team’s success was highlighted by an impressive haul of seven individual medals, including two Gold and five Silver medals, across various specialized categories of canine policing.

The Narcotics Detection category proved to be a major stronghold for the SSB, with canine “Kimi” and handlers Rajeev D and A. Raghuram clinching the Overall Gold Medal, including a top-spot finish in the Luggage Search event.

Another standout performer, “Renky,” along with handlers Ramniwas Jat and Deendayal Chauhan, secured a trio of Silver Medals in Luggage, Vehicle, and Ground Search categories. In the Tracker Dog segment, canine “Kimmy” and handlers Manish Kumar and Chiranjit Ghosh maintained the momentum by winning the Overall Silver Medal and a specific Silver for excellence in Retrieving.

Director General SSB (DG SSB) extended heartfelt congratulations to the winning team and the dedicated supporting staff for their relentless professionalism and commitment to excellence. The All India Police Duty Meet serves as a critical benchmark for evaluating the technical proficiency and synergy between handlers and their canine counterparts.
