Kathua 09 November :- The Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken major action against sympathisers of terrorism by dismissing two Special Police Officers (SPOs) from service in Kathua district for having links with terrorists and aiding them in their activities.
According to official sources, the dismissed SPOs have been identified as Abdul Latif and Mohammad Abbas. It has been revealed that Abdul Latif was in contact with terrorists, assisting them and providing support, for which an FIR was registered and he was then sentenced in Doda Jail.
The second dismissed SPO, Mohammad Abbas, has four FIRs registered against him.Police officers stated that this stern action clearly demonstrates that there is no place for terror sympathizers or anti-national elements within the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The move is part of security agencies’ strict “zero tolerance policy” towards anyone associated with terrorist networks.
The Kathua Police’s action sends a strong message across the Union Territory that those who betray the nation will not remain in uniform.
