Ganderwal 14th August :- IndependenceDay2025 celebrated with great Fervour, Gaiety and Enthusiasm at Madr-e-Meharban Qamariya Stadium Ganderbal.
Officials of Police, SF’s and Students of various Schools participated in Independence Day Parade. The parade was commanded by Dy.SP Syed Azhar Ali-JKPS.

The Chief Guest DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq hoisted the National Flag. She was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore-IAS and SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS. The Chief Guest inspected the parade and took the Salute on March Past presented by the Contingents of District Police Ganderbal, SSB, CRPF (115 BN & 118 BN), PTS Manigam, JKP Ladies Wing, Forest Protection Force, SPOs, Home Guard, and students from various educational institutions across the district.
Senior officers from both the Civil and Police Administration and general public also witnessed the event, adding to its ceremonial grandeur.
Addressing the gathering, Nuzhat Ishfaq extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Ganderbal on this historic occasion. She paid glowing tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence, and remembered the martyrs of Police and CAPFs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. She also underscored the importance of women empowerment in building a stronger and more progressive nation.The entire event radiated the spirit of freedom, unity, and gratitude towards the nation’s heroes, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all present.
