Udhampur January 10, 2026 :- The Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur successfully concluded two specialized five-day training programmes today, focusing on the critical areas of Cyber Crime Investigation and Women Safety. The “Investigation of Cyber Crime” course was sponsored by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), New Delhi, while the “Women Safety” programme for investigators was supported by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). A diverse group of 48 officers from various units attended the sessions, including inter-state representation from Himachal Pradesh, fostering a collaborative environment for professional growth.
Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, Deputy Director (Indoor Trainings), SKPA Udhampur, served as the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. During his address, Gupta commended the academy for its commitment to contemporary, need-based training and stressed the vital importance of continuous capacity building to address the evolving landscape of digital crime and societal challenges. The curriculum featured insights from eminent resource persons and industry professionals who provided practical experience and best practices to enhance the investigative capabilities of the trainees. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and a vote of thanks to the sponsoring agencies. The Women Safety course was coordinated by Raiz Ahmed and Sardhari Lal, while the Cyber Crime programme was managed by Chander Mohan Sharma and Tejinder Chopra.
